Here is my list of must have fantasy novels for 2011: 5. Eldunari - Christopher Paolini
The patrimony series from Christopher Paolini has all the time been surrounded by a lot of controversy, typically hated by traditionalist fantasy and sci-fi fans because it's said to rip of Star Wars. That being said it still has quite a large fan base of citizen who love it, but there is still no word as to when it plans to be released. Only time will tell if the fourth book in the patrimony series will be released this year. Fans are admittedly champing at the bit waiting for some information though. 4. A Memory of Light: Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson
With the sad passing of Robert Jordon, the future of this book was uncertain, but fans were delighted when capable and experienced author Brandon Sanderson took the reins. Using Robert Jordan's notes Brandon has complete the 14th and final book in the series. There is still no confirmed release date but if all goes to plan it should be released in 2011, and if not early 2012. 3. The Lost Gate - Orson Scott Card
Orson Scott Card is a well known Sci-fi/Fantasy writer who has been colse to for a very long time, and is still producing great pieces of writing, so it's no surprise that fans are eager to get their hands on his newest novel The Lost Gate which has recently been released. 2. A Dance with Dragons - George R.R. Martin
If fans concept it was a long wait between Patrick Rothfuss's novels they have nothing on George R.R Martins 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. It was over 10 years ago that the last book was released in what was meant to be a seven part series. Fans are still loyal though and eager to get their hands on the new book which is set to be released, hopefully, sometime in 2011. 1. A Wise Mans Fear - Patrick Rothfuss
A Wise Mans Fear is book 2 in Patrick Rothfuss's King killer chronicles which is his debut trilogy. Although Patrick has only put out one book, not including the adventures of the Princess and Mr.Whiffle, and already he has a huge following which makes this the most improbable book of 2011. A Wise Mans fear follows on where book one left off continuing on too day two of Kvothe's story. Book 2 is finding like it's going to enlarge a lot on the first book and maybe rejoinder a lot of questions that were asked after book one, but no doubt raising even more. Name of the Wind was a monster of a book and A wise mans fear is said to be even longer, and finding as a lot of book one was character improvement and the setting of the scene and world book 2 is set to be an operation packed all out adventure that will pull you in. It's been a long wait but finally it's approximately here, set to be released in March.
