He is a Canadian who was discovered by Scooter Braun who saw a video of him on YouTube. The singer was signed after a meeting with Usher who along with Braun owns the Raymond Braun Media Group. The video that Bieber recorded was of him singing Ne-Yo's popular song 'So Sick' for a school competition in which he was located second. His first singular "One Time' was released even as he was recording his first album 'My World' and it took a path of its own within the first week. The was rated #12 in the Canadian Top 100 and seemed to have the makings of an International hit which it later turned out to be. Though he has been criticised for cancelling shows due to unruly crowds his fans still come in huge crowds to see him perform. Justin Bieber has such a huge following that there are also pranks that many citizen play on him and these are normally to get reactions either from him or his fans.

'One time' is a song that seems to be quite superficial on the face with the repetitive 'one time' that he seems stuck on but if you legitimately look at the whole photograph as a 13 year old who has had his first crush it makes a lot more sense.
